Senate Bill 16 - School Funding Reform Act of 2014 is attempting to create a single funding formula that provides an equitable means to distribute education funds to Illinois school districts. Under this proposed bill, school districts will lose money while other districts gain additional dollars based on a proposed new funding formula earmarked to benefit low income populations.
