District 158 Remote Learning Plan

April 5, 2020

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Governor Pritzker has extended the mandatory school closure and stay-at-home order for all Illinois citizens through April 30, 2020.  District 158's buildings will remain closed through this time but we will continue to offer Home Learning Activities (HLA's) and grab-and-go meals at the Coolidge Kitchen, 9:00-11:00 AM on weekdays when school would be in session.  HLA's and other resources will also be posted online.  Additionally, see below for a Remote Learning Plan that District 158 has developed in partnership with the Lansing Education Association to provide continued educational, social emotional, and wellness supports for our students and families.  This plan will remain in place for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year unless Governor Pritzker determines that it is safe for onsite school to resume.  The top priority of this plan continues to be the health and safety of our students, families, staff, and community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Note that Spring Break will continue to remain April 10-19, 2020 on our school calendar and HLA's and grab-and-go meals will not be offered during that time.  You are welcome to email the principal of your child's school with any questions.  Keep Calm and Stay #158Strong!

Sincerely,

Lansing School District 158
