Today a threat of kidnapping was made on the social media app TikTok towards Coolidge Elementary School, a copy of which is attached. The credibility of this threat cannot be determined. Additional police and administrative presence, both marked and unmarked, will be present at Coolidge for dismissal this afternoon and throughout the week. Families may arrange pickup of their children at their discretion. Any changes to student pickup should be communicated to the Main Office.

Unfounded Bomb Threat 12-15-22
This afternoon, an unfounded bomb threat was identified by a Lansing resident on the app Ring. The police have indicated that this threat does not identify any specific school, originated in New York, and is not credible. However, as a precaution, thorough administrative walk-throughs with police are being completed at each of our schools. District 158 is prepared to initiate offsite evacuation procedures of any of our buildings should a credible, specific threat be identified. At this time, all students and staff are safe. You are welcome to contact the administrator of your child's school with any questions.

Memorial Junior High School will be hosting the 7th annual Back to School Bash on Tuesday, August 16th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Registration will be closed next week on August 15-17, 2022. Families that still need to register students for the first day of school must do so by this Friday, August 12, 4:00 PM. Those using an affidavit or lease must visit our offices and prove residency in order for their registration to be complete. Please contact your child's school with any questions.
