The annual 5Essentials Survey, which is required by the Illinois State Board of Education for all teachers and students in grades 4-8, is now open. The survey gathers data on five indicators - effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction - and will be available through March 28, 2025. Please contact your child's school for an opt out form if you do not wish for your student(s) to participate. You are also welcome to complete the 5Essentials Parent Survey at the following link: https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/?target_name=parent

We are writing to inform you about a recent cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, the software provider for our Student Information System (SIS). PowerSchool has communicated an unauthorized breach of customer data that may include names, birthdates, contact information, and potentially other sensitive data like medical information. This incident is part of a larger national data breach affecting thousands of school districts. PowerSchool has informed districts that the breach was contained and measures have been taken to prevent further unauthorized access. However, we encourage our families and staff to keep an eye on your accounts and credit reports as a precaution and will keep you informed if anything further develops from this.
