Oak Glen's Social Worker, Ms. Toppmeyer (who is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker!), engaged and taught the faculty about positive behavior interventions and supports for students. #RECOGNIZE

Isabelle, a 1st grader in Mrs. Robins' class, was so good we couldn't ignore! Everyday Isabelle stays behind after lunch to help cleanup! Thanks for being a true #OakGlenGrizzly Isabelle!

Oak Glen students brought in 704 pairs of socks to donate to the homeless for Socktober! 2nd grade had brought in the most pairs, beating out 1st grade by just 8 pairs! Their generosity and kindness earned them a fun time at the Sock Hop!

Great afternoon learning and reading about Mrs. Wishy-Washy with Ms. Huppert's Kindergarteners.

Kaylie, an Oak Glen 5th grader, was So Good We Couldn't Ignore! Kaylie found money outside, turned it in to the office, and helped find and return who it belonged to! That's a true Oak Glen Grizzly!

Oak Glen fundraiser winners had a great afternoon with Silly Safaris! Mr. Earnshaw lived up to his end of the deal and kissed a 60 pound python!

Beautiful drum sounds coming from Mrs. Stephens's fifth grade class at Oak Glen - you are truly talented musicians!

Mrs. Kubik's 2nd graders creating synonym bats for the season! #OakGlenGrizzlies

Oak Glen's staff chose Mr. Earnshaw for their costume theme this year. Happy Halloween!

Oak Glen's 1st Annual Trunk or Treat was a huge success! Thank you to all the families who decorated their vehicles and came out to make it a spectacular event. We especially want to thank Mayor Patty Eidam of the Village of Lansing for hosting her vehicle!

Brandon, a 5th grader in Mrs. Cialdella's class, was so good we couldn't ignore! He came into school and declared he was ready to learn, then proved it! This is a true #OakGlenGrizzly - excited to learn and work hard everyday!

No matter how old you are, parachute games are always engaging and fun! Mrs. Yonkers does an awesome job teaching Oak Glen's kindergartners about teamwork and collaboration in PE!

Just some friendly competition! Mrs. Bown's 5th graders are paired up to see who can catch the most monsters by knowing their fractions & decimals.

Oak Glen supports IDIC 15 Awareness Day!

Not only did Mr. Earnshaw, Mrs. Sechowski, and Mr. White raise over $4,000 for various charities, they each finished running 26.2 miles in the Chicago Marathon!

Not only is lunch time for eating and socializing but Oak Glen's Mr. Ferguson entertains tables with magic!

So proud of Jonas, a 3rd grader in Ms. White's class. He's now a member of our #KINDNESS Crew! Jonas shared a piece of his toy so a friend's wouldn't be broken and then helped to clean up the playground. That's a true Oak Glen Grizzly!

Today Oak Glen 3rd graders had their Pumpkin Day! Students picked their pumpkins from the patch and then rotated between each room focusing on various STEM activities.
